Documentation

Everything you need to install, configure, and use Mainframe mod menus.

System Requirements

Mainframe mod menus run on any modern Windows PC. Here's what you need:

  • OS: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • RAM: 4 GB minimum (8 GB recommended)
  • Storage: ~50 MB per mod menu
  • Runtime: .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later (pre-installed on most systems)
  • Permissions: Administrator access (required for injection)
Mainframe is PC-only. Mac, Linux, and console platforms are not supported.

Installation

Installing a Mainframe mod menu takes about 30 seconds.

  1. Go to the Menus page and find your game.
  2. Click the Download Free button on the game's mod menu page.
  3. Save the .exe file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your Desktop).
  4. If your browser or antivirus blocks the download, click "Keep" or add an exception. This is a false positive caused by the injection technique.
Always download mod menus from mainframe.gg only. We do not distribute through third-party sites. If you found a Mainframe download elsewhere, it may be malware.

First Launch

Follow these steps the first time you use a mod menu:

  1. Close the game if it's currently running.
  2. Right-click the downloaded .exe and select Run as administrator.
  3. Wait for the Mainframe loader to initialize. You'll see a small window confirming it's ready.
  4. Launch your game normally through Steam, Epic, or your preferred launcher.
  5. Once in-game, press F4 to open the mod menu overlay.

You should see the Mainframe menu appear on screen. If not, check the Troubleshooting section.

Controls & Hotkeys

The mod menu is fully controllable with your keyboard. Here are the default bindings:

Key Action
F4Toggle menu open / close
Navigate between options
Adjust sliders / cycle selects
EnterSelect / activate option
BackspaceGo back / close submenu
F5Toggle God Mode (quick bind)
F6Toggle Never Wanted (quick bind)
F7Toggle Super Jump (quick bind)
/Focus search bar
Hotkeys can be customized in the Settings tab of the menu. Quick binds (F5–F7) work even when the menu is closed.

Risk Levels

Every feature in the menu is labeled with a risk level to help you make informed decisions:

Label Meaning
SAFE Currently undetected and low risk. Safe for regular use in online sessions.
RISKY Works but has a higher chance of detection if overused. Use sparingly in online sessions.
DETECTED Currently flagged by anti-cheat. Using this feature in online mode will likely result in a ban.
Risk labels are updated in real-time. A feature marked "Safe" today may become "Risky" or "Detected" after a game update. Always check before using features online.

Settings

The Settings tab lets you customize the menu's behavior and appearance.

  • Menu Theme: Choose between Purple, Blue, Red, Green, and Orange accent colors.
  • Menu Opacity: Adjust how transparent the menu overlay is (30%–100%).
  • Open Menu Key: Change the hotkey to open the menu (default: F4).
  • Close Menu Key: Change the hotkey to close the menu (default: Backspace).

Save & Load Configs

You can save your current menu settings and toggle states to a config file, and load them back later. This is useful if you have different setups for different play styles.

  • Save Config: Saves all current toggles, sliders, and settings to a local config file.
  • Load Config: Restores a previously saved config.
  • Reset to Defaults: Reverts everything back to the default settings.

Configs are stored locally in the same folder as the mod menu executable.

Themes

Mainframe supports 5 built-in color themes that change the accent color throughout the menu:

  • Purple — Default theme
  • Blue — Cool blue accent
  • Red — Red/crimson accent
  • Green — Green/emerald accent
  • Orange — Warm orange accent

You can change themes in the Settings tab. The theme preference is saved with your config.

Auto-Updater

Mainframe includes a built-in auto-update system. When you launch the mod menu, it checks for updates and downloads the latest version automatically.

  • Updates are typically pushed within hours of a game patch.
  • The updater runs silently in the background — no action needed from you.
  • If an update is required, the menu will notify you and restart the injection process.
  • You can check the current version in the sidebar header of the menu (e.g. v3.2.1).
Make sure you have an internet connection when launching the menu so the auto-updater can check for the latest version.

Protections

The Protections tab shields you from griefing by other modders in online sessions.

Session Protections

  • Anti-Kick: Prevents kick votes from removing you from the session.
  • Anti-Crash: Blocks crash exploits sent by other modders.
  • Anti-Cage: Automatically removes cages and objects attached to your player.

Spoofing

  • Spoof Name: Hides your real username from other players and modders.
  • Spoof IP: Masks your IP address to prevent IP-grabbing attacks.
  • Off Radar: Removes you from the minimap and player list. Labeled as "Risky" in some games.
We recommend keeping Anti-Kick, Anti-Crash, and Spoof IP enabled at all times when playing online.

Troubleshooting

Menu doesn't appear in-game

  • Make sure you ran the Mainframe executable before launching the game.
  • Run the executable as administrator (right-click → Run as administrator).
  • Check that your antivirus hasn't quarantined or deleted the file.
  • Make sure you're pressing F4 (or your custom hotkey) to open the menu.

Antivirus blocks the download or executable

  • This is a false positive. Mod menus use injection techniques that antivirus software flags as suspicious.
  • Add an exception for the Mainframe executable in your antivirus settings.
  • If using Windows Defender: go to Settings → Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Exclusions, and add the file.

Game crashes on launch

  • Re-download the latest version of the mod menu — there may have been an update.
  • Make sure you're not running another mod menu at the same time.
  • Try disabling any overlays (Discord, GeForce Experience, Steam overlay) that might conflict.

Menu is outdated after a game update

  • The auto-updater should handle this automatically. Close and re-launch the Mainframe executable to trigger an update check.
  • If the menu still doesn't work, check the Status page to see if updates are in progress.
